At Krismesjøen you'll find one small but beautiful lakeside log-cabin, called Krismekoia (the Krisme cabin). The cabin originates from the manual forestry industry occurring on the property in the past. The cabin is thoughtful and simply decorated and equipped with all the essentials for relaxed and wonderful time in the forest. Discover the beautiful surrounding forest and lakes, by feet, bike, canoe or boat and get in touch with nature and wildlife.
In addition to the cabins you'll find an outhouse (compost toilette) and a firewood and equipment shed. The outdoors area consists of a campfire site and stunning view of the surrounding lakes. And of course endless boreal forest and wildlife.

No running water. Naturally cleansed drinking water in spring 100m from the cabin. Drinkable water in the lake 5m from the cabin.
No electrical lights. Only stearic or beeswax candles. Headlights on battery available.

Krismekoia is a tiny log-cabin with one shared bedroom and living room for 5 people, and a small kitchen with big windows overlooking the lake. There are two small double beds and two single beds, that can be used as daybeds/sofas. There is a wood fired stove in the middle of the room to heat the cabin. You'll find a small collection of books and games in the cabin to keep you entertained on rainy days. In the kitchen you'll find all the essential utensils and tableware. A gass heated cooking stove and a refrigerator. You'll find drinkable water in the lake just outside you're door and nearby streams and springs for fresh and naturally cleansed drinking water.
There is an outhouse (easy to use - composting toilette) next to the cabin and an old stables, used in the manual forestry industry, now used for storage of firewood and equipment. Outside the cabin you'll find two fire pits with benches and beautiful views of the surrounding lakes. You'll have access to one canoe for 3 people. Contact us for renting a second canoe.
