At Holmsjøen you'll find two beautiful lakeside cabins on a private peninsula, called Holmsjøhytta (the Holmsjøen cabin) and Båthuset (the boathouse). The cabins are thoughtful and simply decorated and equipped with all the essentials for a relaxed and wonderful time in the forest. Discover the beautiful surrounding forest and lakes, by feet, bike, cano or boat and get in touch with nature and wildlife.
In addition to the cabins you'll find a woodfired sauna for up to 10 people with additional changing room. There is also an outhouse (compost toilette) and a firewood and equipment shed. The outdoors area consists of a lawn with table and benches, a campfire site and a floating dock with canoes and a rowboat. And of course endless boreal forest and wildlife.

No electricity. Solar panel with battery to charge phones and smaller devices (USB).
No running water. Naturally cleansed drinking water in spring 100m from the cabin. Drinkable water in the lake 5m from the cabin.
No electrical lights. Only stearic or beeswax candles. Headlights on battery available.
Enjoy fresh vegetables from local regenerative permaculture farm Hovdneset.

Holmsjøhytta: This is the main cabin on the peninsula, consisting of one master bedroom, two singel bedrooms, kitchen, livingroom and a library with one additional bed. There's also sleeping possibilities in the livingroom for two people. Outside the cabin you'll find a big roofed terrace equipped with a outdoors sofa and terrace fire pit.

Båthuset: This is the second biggest cabin on the peninsula, consisting of two bedrooms with double beds, a sleeping loft for two and a combined kitchen and living room. There's also sleeping possibilities in the living room for two people. Outside the cabin you'll find a big terrace equipped with a outdoors sofa and terrace fire pit.
